Finally I have uploaded the files I have included in my hand-in minus the Gantt Chart as the file type is not supported in WordPress.

Presentation

Today is the day of my presentation (10.30am) and as such the past few days I have spent time updating my final Gantt chart, creating a presentation and collating all my work together to show my lecturers. I have also been practicing my timing as my presentation can only last 15 minutes, with questions being asked as well.

Final Testing

I have tested my site using a variety of means. I have tested it on around 5 browsers I have on my home PC, as well as running the site through some internet webpage testing sites like Wave and Browser Shots.

Finally I have also tested the site by asking some target audience what they think. I created a survey using survey monkey and asked them seven questions. The results have been recorded and included in my final presentation.

Contact Page

This week I have been working on the contact page, more specifically creating it from scratch. I have created the page, and installed a contact form widget which I redesigned to fit my needs. However after running my site with it installed I realised in conflicted with my gallery widget and I had to uninstall it. I re-installed a new one followed by a column widget to help me design text around the form. I have then filled the page with all the relevant information it required.

Photographs

I have been working this week on getting the images I needed to fill out my site. I have taken a variety of photographs of hoodies and jeans but unfortunately I do not own sunglasses to take stock pictures of. I have edited the images to fit in the pages I need them to and cut them out of the original photographs. I have also uploaded them into various places on the site like the product pages and featured products gallery.

E-Commerce Page

The E-commerce pages have been my main focus recently. I have worked substantially to improve and redesign them. I have redesigned the front page, adding a new featured gallery, letting users see what the designer is showing off at that point in time. This has been filled with a variety of products to show how it will function. I have also spent a lot of time in CSS and HTML redesigning the shopping cart, individual category pages and the individual product pages. See screenshots below.

Blog Page Update

I have spent some time working into the blog section of my site recently, adding and filling out more content to give a better impression of how the site will look full of rich information. I have also edited the design to allow individual posts to be viewed at a full page width rather than half as it was being viewed. See images below.

Home Page

I have recently been working on the home page, updating the images and main design. Some of the images weren’t the right size and had problems with how they were being viewed so I have fixed everything I could see, moved the images to the right size and made sure they are in good condition for viewing.

Presentation Materials

Just before my hand in I spent work collating all of my work and putting them in a presentation. I redesigned my slides and set out the presentation in the way that had been given in the mark scheme. I localised my website even though it wasn’t necessary for my site. I also embedded my web page directly into my presentation as well as creating a link to open it in google chrome. I fully updated my Gantt chart and finished off this blog, also embedding in my presentation

Testing

I tested my website on Google Chrome firstly. All of the features working perfectly and everything seemed to be in order, however this may be because I have been constantly working within chrome during my project.

I then tested my site with Firefox and Internet explorer. Unfortunately a problem occurred on both of these browsers, minor as it may be  the shopping cart (when full). I intend on addressing this issue shortly.

I also tested my site on my phone (iPhone 4) and it scaled and performed perfectly on my devices.
